I love Free Comic Book Day even if there's too many people and too many lines. It's the chance to get some previews and FCBD exclusives! I went to Njoy Games & Comics in Northridge, CA. I was the 5th person in line and got first dibs. I always suggest going early because the wait time can get very long. I really like that Njoy offers a lot of deals during this time. For example, if I buy three graphic novels, I can get the fourth for free. Further, it goes up to buying 10 and getting 8 books for free. There were so many titles as expected for such an event from manga to new DC Comics titles. I picked up Divergence, which I am very excited about because one of my favorite writers, Gene Luen Yang, is on it. My Professor for my English Superheroes seminar recently told me that Yang is writing the new Superman titles, which is freaking amazing! He's written for Marvel before so this will be his first time writing for DC! I look forward to reading these: I got the Attack on Titan for my cousin who is a huge fan. I enjoy the anime but haven't read the manga. I picked up my second copy of Descender #2 because Dustin Nguyen rules and because when I went to WonderCon, I bought one from Dustin before the release date and he signed it so I want to keep that in mint condition. I always look forward to FCBD because Avatar: The Last Airbender has been releasing specials. I hope that there will be a Korrasami (Korra and Asami) comic book spin-off! I love Harley Quinn, and the movie poster variants are so epic. I got Spider-Gwen #3, too. Moreover, I was so excited that there's was a Pokemon one this year! Also, I got two other comics that are not pictured here. I got my brother the Fight Club comic and got him The Multiversity: Pax Americana issue homage to Watchmen that my Professor mentioned in class since he's a much bigger fan of Watchmen than I am. Lastly, I was so excited to see: So different and yet so awesome! This was one of my sought afters. Yes, finally a team with the same name of some of the most recognizable superheroes is with people of color and more females!
